Somatic
Welcomes the body as an integral source of wisdom and information which can guide resourcing and the accessing and processing of challenging, traumatic, and developmental experience.
- Somatic widsom comes from our own bodies.
- In order to heal it, we have to feel it.
- Somatic work brings an inner awareness to what is happening within ourselves and can expand to include: cognition, emotions, sensations, 5 senses and movement.
- Somatic work is crucial in processing and bringing healing to trauma and complex trauma (C-PTSD).
- Sensorimotor Psychotherapy is a form of somatic therapy and I am trained in and integrate into the work I do.
